One of the most mature cheeses available...
From early 2007, Fayrefield Foods mounts a
Canadian Campaign by launching a new brand of cheese to the supermarkets. Called
Royal Canadian, the cheese is carefully made by master cheese maker, Rejean
Galipeau at the award winning Balderson Corners Cheese factory in Ontario. It is
then matured for over three years making it one of the most mature cheeses
available in the UK.

Royal Canadian
has distinctive black packaging which features a
red maple leaf for easy identification and
strong shelf appeal. Fayrefield’s aim is to make
matured Canadian cheese available to a wider
market and boost the popularity of what is
probably one of the world’s finest cheddars.
Packed in 250g
fixed weight wedges, the product will retail at
£2.49 and is ideal for snacking and in
sandwiches, great in recipe dishes and will
grace any cheese board with its distinctive,
complex and savoury bite.
Royal Canadian is
a perfect match with full bodied red wines with
enough power to cut through the strength of the
cheese such as Bordeaux or New World Cabernet
Sauvignon. Royal Canadian Cheddar is now
available in all Asda stores and the product
will roll out to other supermarket groups in the
spring of 2007.
