Guaraná Antarctica quenches Tesco thirst for Samba spirit

Brasil’s favourite soft drink, the legendary Guaraná Antarctica, is launching in Tesco across the UK.

Brought to the UK by Fayrefield Foods, Guaraná Antarctica is one of the most iconic brands to come out of Brasil.

A uniquely flavored fruity carbonated drink, it is made from the fruit of the guaraná berry and has been enjoyed by Brasilians since 1921.

As Olympic fever takes hold in the UK, the sporting spotlight will turn to Brasil, the next host of the games in 2016.

As the country prepares to host the World Cup in 2014 and the Olympics in 2016, Guaraná Antarctica is uniquely placed to take advantage of the growing interest in all things Brasilian.

As current sponsor of the Brasilian national football team and official drinkssponsor of Ferrari’s Felipe Massa it already enjoys massive global recognition.

The brand, owned by AmBev, is the second biggest selling soft drink in Brasil, the and is currently ranked among the top 15 most sold soft drinks brands in the world. It is also sold in Australia, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, Spain, Italy, Japan,
Finland and Norway.

Already available at Waitrose and Harvey Nichols, Guaraná Antarctica will launch inTesco stores nationwide from 19 September.

Guaraná Antarctica is available in Tesco in 6 x 330ml can packs.
